Shut up cookie, you don’t know my life.

Today marks Five Years to the day since the last time I cut myself. I remember sitting in the upstairs girl’s bathroom of my high school, after making my last mark. The voice of Jesus echoed in my heart saying, “You don’t have to do this anymore. It is finished.”

In person if you look close enough, you can still see my scars. It’s been a difficult journey since then but I haven’t been able to bring myself to touch another blade. I’m alive today because I spoke up and got help. The road is tough but once you cross over into the next chapter of your life and can look back and see that part of your life behind you, all of the pain and agony becomes worth it. I’m alive today because I spoke up. Thank you, thank you Jesus, you’re magnificent.

Sometimes I’m like, “I should start a diary.” But then I remember I have Tumblr and I’m like, “Nevermind.”
